Top PRE Combinations at the 2026 Spanish Dressage Championships

The Aros Equestrian Club in Murcia hosted the 2026 Spanish Championships for Senior Dressage, U25 Dressage and Para Dressage, as well as the Classical Cup, National Criterium and Selection Masters for Young Horses and Junior Riders. The event brought together a total of 197 horse-and-rider combinations over five days of competition.

The scale of the competition was reflected in the high level of participation. The Senior Championship featured 36 combinations, while the U25 division attracted 14 riders. The National Criterium included 31 participants, the Young Horse Selection Masters gathered 43 horses, and the Junior Rider Selection Masters brought together 53 combinations. In addition, 13 para dressage riders and 7 Classical Cup competitors completed one of the most comprehensive weeks on the national calendar.

Among the Purebred Spanish Horses (PRE), several combinations achieved particularly noteworthy results.

In the 7-Year-Old division, Auténtico de Narváez, owned by Yolanda Narváez Garrido, bred by Manuel Herrera Benítez and ridden by Adrián Roldán, won the Preliminary Test with 73.043%. He later secured the bronze medal in the Final (73.957%) and repeated this achievement in the 7-Year-Old Selection Masters with a total score of 216.457 points.

In Classical 3, the PRE stallion Fuer Trajano, owned by Yeguada Fuertes Camacho and ridden by Mireia Corona, finished third with an average score of 67.807%, earning the bronze medal in the Classical Cup with 201.307 points.

At St. Georges and Intermediate I level, Jordano de Trujillo, owned by Yeguada de Trujillo and ridden by Teia Hernández, placed seventh in St. Georges (67.441%), tenth in Intermediate I (67.441%) and eighth in the Intermediate I Freestyle (70.830%). Román KP, owned by Yeguada La Angostura and ridden by Francisco Gil, rounded out the top ten in Intermediate I with 67.618%. Both horses maintained their positions in the National Criterium, where Jordano de Trujillo finished eighth (205.712 points) and Román KP tenth (203.836 points).

At Grand Prix level, Romero de Trujillo, owned by Yeguada de Trujillo, bred by José Franco Sánchez and ridden by Teia Hernández, finished seventh in the Grand Prix (69.630%) and eighth in the Grand Prix Special (69.021%). Ulises de Ymas, owned by Yeguada de Ymas and ridden by Pablo Gómez, achieved sixth place in the Grand Prix with 69.872%. In the Grand Prix Freestyle, Ulises de Ymas climbed to fourth place with 73.855%, followed by Romero de Trujillo in seventh (72.980%) and Tormento FSR III, owned by Francisco Santiago Ruiz and ridden by Antonio José Vázquez, who completed the top ten with 71.230%.

In the RFHE National Grand Prix League, Romero de Trujillo finished seventh with 138.651 points, while Ulises de Ymas placed ninth with 137.894 points.

In the Young Riders Freestyle, Cocktail, owned by Antonio Fco. Lledó Signes and ridden by Claudia Lledó, won the bronze medal with an average score of 70.585%.

Outstanding Performances in Para Dressage

In Grade V, Brujo CAR, owned by Carlos Gutiérrez Álvarez and ridden by Alejandro Nande, earned the silver medal with a total of 128.131 points, scoring 63.359% in Grand Prix A, 65.211% in Grand Prix B and 62.920% in the Freestyle.

In the Grade II–III–VIa category, Operario VI, owned by Espejo Segura, bred by Santiago Illán Fernández and ridden by Alejandro José Espejo, won bronze with 123.353 points after scoring 61.600%, 60.933% and 62.420% in the three tests.

In Grade IV–VIb, Zipi de Susaeta, owned and ridden by Kristi Zallo and bred by Yeguada Susaeta, achieved an excellent third place in Grand Prix A with 64.778%.
